Geographical indication for Ankara mohair

Mohair Angora Co-Founder Ayşegül Ertan stated that Ankara mohair went down in history as “the diamond of all yarns” because of its warmth, shine and durability:

“Because it is used by Queens, Sultans and Kings, it is also called the sultan of all yarns. The homeland of this precious yarn is Ankara. It has spread to the world from here. We set out to introduce mohair to the whole world and make it a global brand. This step has been taken. This registration will be a very important milestone in the promotion of Ankara mohair.”
